Team picture? Photos from your team party? You can easily (sort of) add them to the site.
On either the “Write Page” or “Write Post” page, below the “Page Content” box that you use to enter text, there is an “Upload” box. You can use that to upload any kind of file to the web server (pdf, for example) including photos and graphics. After uploading, you can put the photo into a Post or Page.
Detailed instructions
- Log in (you must be registered, and you must be an ?¢‚Ǩ?ìauthor?¢‚Ǩ¬ù.)
- Select the ?¢‚Ǩ?ìSite Admin?¢‚Ǩ¬ù link in the side menu.
- Select ?¢‚Ǩ?ìWrite?¢‚Ǩ¬ù in the top menu bar.
- Select ?¢‚Ǩ?ìWrite Post?¢‚Ǩ¬ù or “Write Page” in the menu bar below that.
- In the “Upload” box, select the “Browse…” button.
This will bring up a dialog box that allows you to find the file you want to upload. - Navigate to the file containing the photo you want to upload, and select the “Open” button.
That should put the file’s name into the File: box. - Add a title that describes the photo; this will appear when a visitor places the cursor over the picture.
- Optionally, add a description. This might help somebody else who comes along later.
- Hit the “Upload” button at the lower right of the “Upload” box.
The photo should appear in the Upload section under a tab for “Browse”. - Click on the image in the “Browse” tab.
A popup menu appears. - Click on “Send to editor”
The image now should be in the “Page Content” box. - You should be able to drag the photo to where you want it.
The photo of the statue of Willie Mays below is included as an example.

Important note: Please don’t post large, high-resolution photos.
If you took the photo using a high-res digital camera, the size of the resulting file could be huge. Please reduce the file size by making the picture smaller and low resolution before uploading it. Most photo processing programs have the capability. Make the file size less than .5 MB (i.e. 500kb), for sure. Under 100kb is better.
