I want to contribute

If you want to be able to create news articles and pages on this site you must:

  1. Register
    • Use the “Register” link under “Meta” in the side-bar menu on the right.
    • Choose a nickname (keep it clean :-) ), fill out the rest of the form, and submit it.
  2. Send email to dbrown at xs dot com (Replace the “at” and “dot” with the correct special characters.)
    • Include your real name, your registration name, and what team you’re with.
    • The webmaster will promote you to “author” status. After that, you’ll be able to create new items.
  3. Read a few “how to” pages. These are all in the sidebar under Pages > About the site > Help with the site.
    • Browsing Help
    • Posting Help
    • Should I write a post or a page?

If you just want to comment on existing news items, you still must register. After you register, you can create comments, but they might not appear immediately. The webmaster will make sure you’re not a “spammer” and approve your comment. You still will want to read “Browsing Help”.

[...] So far, we have the following new authors: Clyde Jones, Dave Biama, Nino Martinez, and Larry Friel.?Ǭ† Remember, we want at least one, preferably more, authors for each team. See “I want to contribute” for how to join. Notice that Dave Biama’s post, “Testing for VOT Posts”, has 2 comments. Click on the comments link to see them. You can add a comment to any post as soon as you’re registered. If you have questions about the site and you’re an author, you can create a Post and ask the question. I’ll bet that others have the same question. When you create the post, make the Category be Webmaster. We’ll use that Category for communication to and from the webmaster. I’ll answer your questions by posting comments on your question. [...]
