The Norcal Giants went 5-2. We were 4-0 in the round robin, which earned us the 4th seed in the AAAA division. (The AAAA division was the top 8 teams in a 52 team field.) We won our first playoff game, beating the Oakville A's 8-2. We next lost a heart-breaker, 5-4, to South Dakota. We had the tying run on second in the ninth, but couldn't tie it up. That bumped us to a loser's bracket game against the New England Red Sox, who were the defending 48+ champs. We lost that game 15-1, bringing out tournament to a close. The Minnesota Bulldogs, who lost their first playoff game to South Dakota, came all the way back through the loser's bracket to beat the Border City Brewers in the AAAA finals.
